FASHIONING KIMONO Arrives at the Birmingham Museum of Art

"Fashioning Kimono: Art Deco and Modernism in Japan" opens July 31, 2010 at the Birmingham Museum of Art in tandem with a fascinating schedule of public programs.  The Museum will present a lecture by Guest Curator, Annie Van Assche, a Japanese film festival and a studio art class in Japanese Shibori dyeing.  Other programs for children and adults will accompany the tour, which closes in Birmingham October 10.
